Alternate Character Interpretation: Johnny Yong Bosch has said that he personally played Adam in "Once A Ranger" as someone who had grown into a lone warrior & travelled the world using his Ranger powers to help people, and that his remark about going back to his dojo in Angel Grove at the end of "Once a Ranger" was a lie.
And the Fandom Rejoiced: Johnny Yong Bosch returning as Adam Park in "Once A Ranger".
- Not to mention the other members of the veteran team, which consisted of the two most popular female Rangers and two most popular quirky Green Rangers of the Disney era. (Even if they did have to fudge Bridge as a Red Ranger.)
Cargo Ship: Ronny/drills, after her reaction to seeing the zords for the first time got Memetically Mutated.
Complete Monster: Kamdor perfectly fits in. Initially appearing to be a standard villain, his monstrosity eventually emerged. When his partnership with Miratrix started to falter, Kamdor did not appreciate her and offered no loyalty to her, and as such, started to ridicule and callously abuse her, to the point where she went mad and turn against him, and eventually using the Octavian Chalice to turn herself into an owl-like demon. However, after Miratrix got defeated, Kamdor told her she was just a pawn in his plans, and then trapped her in the jewel he was previously stuck in, and then presumably killing her afterwards. Kamdor's most evil act, however, was sending a meteor to earth to get rid of the Rangers once and for all, not caring if countless innocent people got killed in the process at all. He then brutally injured Will in a duel, but lost. A ruthless, traitorous, and truly sadistic villain motivated by greed, Kamdor was even more evil and certainly more competent than the main antagonist Flurious, his brother Moltor, or any of the other villains in the series.
Critical Dissonance: Most Fans view this as one of the weakest seasons of the franchise. The infamous parental review site common sense media claims it's one of the best and has more substance to it than other seasons in the franchise.
Crowning Moment of Funny: "...Man law."
Crowning Music of Awesome: Copyright meant that using the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers theme for Adam wasn't going to happen. His theme in the team-up special is a revamped version of the theme, which isn't as good, but is still pretty kick-ass.
Designated Hero: Some feel that the team's Ten-Minute Retirement after losing their powers in the "Once A Ranger" anniversary special runs entirely opposite to the idea that even without powers, a Ranger never gives up, and that the Overdrive Rangers aren't worthy of being Rangers as a result. Although for what it's worth, none of the past teams who endeavored to keep fighting without their powers had backup; Previous Rangers had to decide between 'keep fighting or let the bad guys go unopposed.' The Overdrive Rangers' options were 'Be the Red Shirts or let the veteran Rangers who have everything perfectly under control handle it'

Moral Event Horizon: While Flurious is never a nice guy from the start, tricking his brother, who'd come on his hands and knees offering peace, into handing over the Corona Aurora with an offer of friendship, then killing him off in cold blood definitely pushes him over the line.
Special Effect Failure: A building hallway was badly disguised as an Egyptian tomb corridor in one episode.
Unfortunate Implications: Will, a black Black Ranger. Might not have been a big deal - if they hadn't made him a professional thief.
