Silver Phoenix is a 2009 Chinese historical fantasy novel by Cindy Pon. It is the first book in the Kingdom of Xia series.

The story centers on Ai Ling, an unbetrothed bride whom no one wanted. She's secretly relieved because she wishes to be free. Her life takes a turn when her father never returns from a trip to the palace. As the family income becomes tight and the unpleasant merchant Master Huang wishes to wed her, Ai Ling goes on a journey in the night to find her father.

The journey isn't easy. Nightmarish creatures right from The Book of the Dead seem attracted to her. It's through one of these encounters that she meets the honorable Chen Yong, who is searching for the identity of his foreign father. Joined by the jokey and flirtatious Li Rong and his horse, Feng, they go on an adventure.
