Continuum is a fantasy webcomic centering on the protagonist Surei. Surei is an immortal being maintaining the space-time continuum of her universe. After a sudden, unexplained disturbance in the timeline forces her to leave a new-found friend in search of the source, her understanding of her priorities and the very meaning of her existence comes into question, and she is pulled into a fight that endangers not only her own universe but others as well.
Tropes:
Surei: I'd like to give you some nice, long exposition about myself and my purpose. But I can't. |
- Literal Cliff Hanger: Page 12.
- Mismatched Eyes: Justified, seeing as the character in question is blind in one eye.
As a "continuum guard", Surei falls under the following tropes:
- Batman Can Breathe in Space: Being a Reality Warper also allows Surei to survive in space for more than a few seconds. Whether she is breathing or not is unclear.
- The Drifter
- Flight
- I Have Many Names: Surei makes up a new name for herself every planet she goes to, and she's been to a lot of planets.
- Reality Warper
- Single Specimen Species
- Time Abyss
- Voluntary Shapeshifting
- Walk On Water: Surei is shown running on water, making this trope more realistic, but considering her other powers she can probably walk on it too.
- Walking The Universe
- Who Wants to Live Forever?: Surei does not enjoy having to make up a new life every planet she goes to.
