Trivia about Star Wars: Clone Wars includes:

  • DVD Bonus Content: The DVDs came with featurettes that show how the cartoon was made.
  • DVD Commentary: There are two commentary tracks done by Genndy Tartakovsky on the DVDs.
  • Fan Nickname: The show was nicknamed by fans as 2003 Clone Wars or Genndy Tartakovsky's Clone Wars to help differentiate it with Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The DVDs have been long out of print. However, the show can be watched on Disney+.
  • Production Posse: Genndy Tartakovsky brought in many of his crew and some of his voice cast that were involved in Samurai Jack for this show.
  • The Other Darrin: John DiMaggio voiced General Grievous in his first appearance. For his other appearances, he was voiced by Richard MacGonagle.
  • Talking to Themselves:
    • Grey DeLisle voiced Padme Amidala, Asajj Ventress and Shaak Ti.
    • Daran Norris voiced Durge and Ki-Adi Mundi.
    • John DiMaggio voiced General Grievous (first appearance) and Sha'a Gi.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Sha'a Gi, an obvious Shaggy Rogers expy would have had his voice based on the character but Genndy Tartakovsky decided against the voice.
    • Taratakovsky wanted season 2 to end with a battle between Obi-Wan and Durge but George Lucas suggested the crew to introduce General Grievous instead.
