Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Acceptable Targets - Sweden, given that most of them are Finnish. Jens often gets teased by the rest of the band for his nationality. During one performance in Sweden, Kotipelto remarked that it was Stratovarius's first time playing in a third-world country.
  • Crowning Moment of Awesome - Timo Kotipelto performing an entire show despite suffering from a bout of the flu, and performing an entire show even after burning his hand badly when the pyrotechnics went off unexpectedly underneath him as he was reaching for the microphone.
  • Crowning Music of Awesome - Several examples, though "Black Diamond" and "Hunting High and Low" are generally cited as the fan favourites.
  • Crowning Moment of Heartwarming - The song "We Hold the Key" has one of these. After two verses describing how Humans Are the Real Monsters, how we're destroying our own world and not caring, the bridge comes in with these lyrics.

What will we find?
Mountains to climb
More destruction
And hatred we'll discover

    • Still dark, still cynical, but then:

Suddenly sounds awake me
Birds singing beautifully
Maybe there is hope still left...
In this world!

  • Ear Worm - "Hunting High and Low."
  • Misaimed Fandom - "Celestial Dream" is often misinterpreted as a Not Christian Rock song, but it's actually about putting religious differences aside, or at least respecting them, for humanity's sake. That doesn't stop the religious arguments on YouTube, though...
  • Nightmare Fuel - The song "Thin Ice" in particular. The song "Dreamspace" also has shades of it.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks - How some fans feel regarding the self-titled album Stratovarius. Even Timo Tolkki said he didn't like it, as it wasn't anything like their usual style and was made totally wrong.
