Taimanin Asagi (visual novel)
A 2005 Hentai Visual Novel developed by Black Lilith and Anime Lilith, Taimanin Asagi is about ninjas who fight demons in skintight outfits.
In the Earth of this series, there used to be a truce separating the human world from the demon world. But that truce was slowly and silently broken, with human and demon criminals increasingly intermingling with each other with nefarious objectives. However, there are forces who fight those criminals, human ninjas knows as the Taimanin, anti-demon ninjas.
Three years before the present, anti-demon ninja Asagi Igawa killed a criminal called Oboro and her mooks. She retired and lived a more normal life and, at the beginning of the novel, seeks to marry her childhood friend Kyousuke. However, the elder Igawa calls her and tries to convince her back to becoming a Taimanin, thanks to the recent killings of several Taimanin at a suspicious rate. Asagi's younger sister, Sakura. also manifests an interest in becoming a Taimanin, but Asagi becomes reluctant in coming back or accepting her baby sister becoming a Taimanin.
The day after he had disappeared for a prolonged amount of time, Asagi is confronted by Kyousuke. He turns out to be a revived Oboro, but not in disguise, but in complete control of her boyfriend's body, having fused her body to him. This makes Asagi reluctant to attack, and she is captured by the female villain.
Asagi wakes up on an underground facility, where Oboro soon reveals her plans: have Asagi compete in brutal one-on-one fights in the Chaos Arena, a place where the loser is put under complete sexual submission to the winner, or death. She is not working by herself though: her boss is an incredibly powerful vampire called Edwin Black, and though Black seems completely uninterested in Asagi's torture, he nonetheless allows Oboro to try to break Asagi's will.
While that happens, Sakura goes to the Chaos Arena to try to free Asagi.
Published by Black Lilith and Lilith Soft and Anime Lilith, and AiCherry and Infini Brain Co., Ltd. Directed by Sasayama Ittousai. Adapted into an OVA series of same name.
- All for Nothing: Asagi's bargain for Sakura not be raped was completely useless; Oboro just had her raped away from Asagi's eyes.
- Always Chaotic Evil: All orcs on the setting are rapists, and their low intelligence means they will never amount to much more.
- Anti-Hero: Asagi and Sakura aren't above beating up informants to get information. Very brutally.
- Big Bad: Edwin Black, though he takes no part in torturing Asagi, just watching from afar for unclear reasons.
- Bittersweet Ending: The true ending, though much more on the bitter end. Kyousuke is dead, Sakura had lost her virginity in a horrible way, and Black has escaped any punishment. The Igawa Elder is also revealed to be a traitor. All Asagi and her sister have left for is to keep fighting.
- Childhood Friend Romance: Asagi knows Kyousuuke since childhood and are on a relationship with him.
- Curb Stomp Battle: All of Asagi's battles on the Chaos Arena end on her easy defeat thanks to Oboro's hypnotism.
- Dumb Muscle: All orcs are portrayed as dumb as bricks and very muscle-heavy.
- Fat Bastard: Pyg the orc has a giant gut and is a depraved rapist.
- Flat Character: Kyousuke only gets a pair of lines before being possessed by Oboro and can't manifest under her possession, so all we get is that he is a nice guy Asagi knows since childhood she wants to marry.
- Fusion Dance: Oboro offscreen fused herself to Kyousuke, Asagi's boyfriend, and that is why Asagi doesn't dare strike against her despite having several opportunities to do so.
- The Heavy: Oboro is the one overseeing Asagi's torture and delights herself on it, but ultimately she is just working for Black.
- Jobber: Asagi's function on the Chaos Arena is to lose, which Oboro ensures her to do using hypnotism.
- Love Potion: Orcs' sperm are aphrodisiac, that is, once they climax on a victim once, the victim will become too aroused to run away from her own rapist.
- Meaningful Name: Of course the fat orc is named Pyg.
- The Mole: The elder Igawa was working with Nomad all along to get both Asagi and Sakura captured.
- Retired Badass: Asagi was once a very powerful anti-demon ninja, but at the beginning of the story she is simply a teacher.
- Victim Falls For Rapist: Being raped by orcs means you will fall in love with them if they climax on you, since their sperm is aphrodisiac.
