I would say a fully fledged YMMV trope, but expand it to all mediums. Don't just limit it to video games. The only example I could think of the trope right now is in Anime, and it would be better if we opened it up.

I've explicitly opened the trope to Anime examples. (It was already okay to add Advertising, Film, or Western Animation examples.)
