Improper Trope Usage

So I think I've gotten rid of all instances of the trope Getting Smilies Painted On Your Soul used on this page and the character page. The official info on how Monsterization works plus the later examples like Sapphirette make it pretty clear that that Trope is a completely inaccurate one to use for describing what the process does to women's minds. I'm not sure if More Than Mind Control is quite right either, but it's far closer, especially in regards to the girls from Fallen Maidens. I'm just making a note about this for future reference.

I don't know ... The current description of Getting Smilies Painted on Your Soul makes it pretty clear that simply changing somebody to the minimum amount needed so that her repressed emotions can surface qualifies for that trope.

So, as long as people are saying it's a possible interpretation and not the only interpretation, I'm going to refer to one of this wiki's core policies - All The Tropes:There is No One True Way - and suggest that it not be removed when somebody adds it back in. Although I'd also suggest it belongs on the YMMV subpage in this case.
