Please stop adding "Getting Smilies Painted On Your Soul". That is not even remotely how monsterization works. It doesn't cause drastic personality changes either. The girls only acted the way they did due to repression.

The current description of Getting Smilies Painted on Your Soul makes it pretty clear that simply removing repression qualifies for that trope. This may be a problem with that trope, but it is what the trope currently says (and changing the definition of a trope involves getting agreement from other Tropers).

So, as long as people are saying it's a possible interpretation and not the only interpretation, as the text you wanted to remove does say, I'm going to refer to one of this wiki's core policies - All The Tropes:There is No One True Way - and suggest that it not be removed... although I'd also suggest it belongs on the YMMV subpage.

Well, it's true that I haven't really read the current description. The trope name gives off the impression of forcing people to be happy against their will. That plus the way it was used in the description of MoralMyopia on the trope page for what "The Order" thinks about Monsters.

Honestly, I was considering removing or severely editing that one too, because none of that is what the Order thinks, that's what critics of MGE think. I mean, the Order are thinly veiled Christians like most major religions in JRPG style settings, so it's not outside of the realm of possibility, but it's never actually stated what they think outside of that they still tell their followers that monster girls still eat humans and are so set on people continuing to believe that that they declared the Wandering Scholar a heretic for publishing vol.1 of the Encyclopedia because it contradicted this stance.

Anyway, to go back on topic, maybe I am overreacting a little bit, but I do agree it should probably go on YMMV if it gets readded.
