Another page too big to edit.

Reproducible and reported. There are some memory issues going on, I'm guessing that this is related, and I'd like to see if we can get to the bottom of this. Github issue report.

Well, the stupid part is that you can edit the page if you have a bot. Just not via the user interface. Which means something is dumb here.

My localhost doesn't have these limits, let me see if I can't split them on that and then reimport them here so they can be edited.

The problem is that the RAM needed to process the page has hit the ceiling imposed by the server, so let me split them on my localhost and I'll reimport them that way.

Okay gentlemen, I figured out that we'll need to institute a page splitting policy.

Once a page hits the 150,000 kb barrier, it starts giving the server fits trying to save a revision.

You can create split pages without needing to do it elsewhere (I created Part 1 and Part 2 pages for the Made of Win Archive Late 2009 by cutting huge chunks of the original page and pasting them onto the new pages, then replaced the original page (now have had most of the original content removed to other pages) with links to the split pages.

We can do that easily enough without me having to copyedit them on my localhost.

Unless the server RAM limits imposed by Orain raise we otherwise will have to work within a 150,000 kb barrier for now. Wikia has a similar barrier, so this isn't much of a surprise. Wikipedia has a much higher limit, but then again, they have much more server resources.

Well. That gives me something to do now. Thanks for figuring it out, Geth.
