Summary by Robkelk

Launched.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

The writeup looks decent, the trope's been in the workshop for at least four months and nobody's complained about it... and it has eight examples. Can we find two more? I have a champagne bottle ready to swing.

RabidTanker (talkcontribs)

Well, there's the battle against Phantom Ganon in Hyrule Warriors (I really need to get around to making that page) where Link, Lana, Cia, Tetra, and King Daphnes combine their strength in order to weaken the boss with magic. It's towards the end of "Watchers of the Triforce" in Legend Mode.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

I'm not a big video-game player so I wouldn't know how to word the example. RabidTanker, could you add that to the page, please?

Then we could launch with nine examples instead of ten, and trust in Wiki Magic to get the numbers up.

RabidTanker (talkcontribs)

Yeah, just let check if it's in all of the versions of that game, first.

By the way, does it count when an ancient weapon infuses it's power into a legendary sword? Because that happened at least twice in another video game that I have.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Naturally I have no problems with launching it, but it's my trope, so my vote probably doesn't count. <grin>

Summary by Robkelk

Not an example of this trope.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Can someone who is familiar with the episode in question confirm that the cast does something more than just cheer in unison, and that this is actually an example of the trope? Thank you.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

According to the episode recap: "Meanwhile, the townspeople pull down the sun-blocker, which crushes Shelbyville to their delight." There's no word there on whether a single person could have pulled down the sun-blocker.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

It's starting to sound like not... I'll have to see if I can find that episode on Netflix or something.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

It's a two-parter; the recap indicates the scene is near the start of part 2.

Beta Log 86 (talkcontribs)

I heard about that one myself and for some reason, it's not often seen when it's often rebroadcast.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Fortunately, the relevant bit can be found on YouTube. And no, this is no more an example of the trope than the Volcano one was.

One more thing before launching...

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Three's a season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer that I've not actually seen, though I've heard about -- the one where, in the season climax, the Scoobies have to merge their ... power? essences? in order to defeat the Big Bad. Did the process include an object they all had to take hold of together, such that it would qualify as an example of this trope?

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Never mind about it -- I'll let the Wiki Magic handle it.
