After Bonnie 'left' the team, she unfollowed all the other members on Twitter and posted a few conservative viewpoints. This has caused many fans to call her out on it and say she 'isn't a true Starkid anymore.' There are still many fans who respect her choices though. The base was further broken when rumors began to circulate that Meredith Stepien would replace Bonnie as Hermione in A Very Potter Senior Year, despite the fact that nobody from Star Kid has confirmed the replacement and the team isn't entirely sure if AVPSY will be happening.
There are disputes on whether or not StarKid members who appeared in StarKid musicals outside of college are still considered StarKids, however the consensus seems to be yes.
Some fans haven't forgiven Darren Criss for "selling out" by joining the cast of Glee.
