* Ali Vincent became the first female Biggest Loser in the US version of the show. Double points for also becoming the first contestant to win the whole thing, despite being eliminated earlier on in the competition.
* In Season 7, Jerry Hayes won the At-home prize of $100K by losing 177 pounds total. Why is this awesome, you ask? Because Jerry was actually the '''''first''''' contestant to be eliminated, he was the oldest contestant in the show's history at the time, and he only lost 26 pounds on campus; he lost the other 151 pounds at home!

*Just as the first team to weigh in looked as though the 8th season group would suffer the second week curse (almost no weight loss, or even weight gain), the team ended up losing a total of 155 pounds. They had actually been challenged to lose 150 to avoid sending anyone home.

They had actually been challenged to lose 150 to avoid sending anyone home. Said goal was lowered to 115lbs, meaning they not only smashed that goal, but the original as well.
* In Season 9, during the finale, Michael, who started the season at 526 pounds, needed to lose 257 pounds in order to become the Biggest Loser, beating the current leader Ashley (who started at 374 pounds, and lost 183). He lost ''264 pounds'', making him the newest Biggest Loser, with a current weight of 262 pounds, and shattering the previous record of 239 pounds lost set by Danny Cahill the previous season.

**Ashley deserves a mention to, since her aforementioned 183lb weight loss is the highest of any female contestant in the show's history.
*In the divisive Season 13, after Adrian made some off-handed comments about Nancy's elimination, everyone else started arguing with each other. Who ends up trying to shut everyone up and show Cassandra (Nancy's original partner) some consideration? Chism, the youngest contestant that season, that's who!
*At the end of makeover week in Season 14, the five remaining contestants had to lose 5% of their current weight to avoid elimination. Remembering how Chism was eliminated last season, Bob was naturally worried. However, all five players hit their target weight losses for the week, and thus no one was eliminated.

*Not an awesome ''moment'' of such, but still counts; Sonya Jones from Season 16 was the season's biggest loser for '''eleven straight weeks''', starting from week '''''5'''''. She was only beaten by Toma Dobrosavljevic at the finale by ''one pound'', which resulted in a ''0.01%'' difference between first and second place!

Some outstanding moments from The Biggest Loser include:

  • Ali Vincent became the first female Biggest Loser in the US version of the show. Double points for also becoming the first contestant to win the whole thing, despite being eliminated earlier on in the competition.
  • In Season 7, Jerry Hayes won the At-home prize of $100K by losing 177 pounds total. Why is this awesome, you ask? Because Jerry was actually the first contestant to be eliminated, he was the oldest contestant in the show's history at the time, and he only lost 26 pounds on campus; he lost the other 151 pounds at home!
  • Just as the first team to weigh in looked as though the 8th season group would suffer the second week curse (almost no weight loss, or even weight gain), the team ended up losing a total of 155 pounds. They had actually been challenged to lose 150 to avoid sending anyone home. Said goal was lowered to 115lbs, meaning they not only smashed that goal, but the original as well.
  • In Season 9, during the finale, Michael, who started the season at 526 pounds, needed to lose 257 pounds in order to become the Biggest Loser, beating the current leader Ashley (who started at 374 pounds, and lost 183). He lost 264 pounds, making him the newest Biggest Loser, with a current weight of 262 pounds, and shattering the previous record of 239 pounds lost set by Danny Cahill the previous season.
    • Ashley deserves a mention to, since her aforementioned 183lb weight loss is the highest of any female contestant in the show's history.
  • In the divisive Season 13, after Adrian made some off-handed comments about Nancy's elimination, everyone else started arguing with each other. Who ends up trying to shut everyone up and show Cassandra (Nancy's original partner) some consideration? Chism, the youngest contestant that season, that's who!
  • At the end of makeover week in Season 14, the five remaining contestants had to lose 5% of their current weight to avoid elimination. Remembering how Chism was eliminated last season, Bob was naturally worried. However, all five players hit their target weight losses for the week, and thus no one was eliminated.
  • Not an awesome moment of such, but still counts; Sonya Jones from Season 16 was the season's biggest loser for eleven straight weeks, starting from week 5. She was only beaten by Toma Dobrosavljevic at the finale by one pound, which resulted in a 0.01% difference between first and second place!
  • In Season 5 of the Australian show, one contest near the end of the series has the contestants on a Jacob's Ladder. Think a treadmill, but instead it's a ladder at a 45-degree angle. The final two contestants climbed for over THREE HOURS, even breaking the WORLD RECORD for climbing a Jacob's Ladder. Keep in mind these people were morbidly obese and horrifically unfit just two months before.
