Creator Backlash: It may come as a surprise to learn that Uwe Boll considers the first film to be an absolute pile of crap, and his worst film to date. However, he insists that this is in no way, shape, or form down to him, and that the screenplay (which he couldn't make any changes to) was to blame.
Hey, It's That Guy!: Jürgen Prochnow is Captain Kirk.

- The sequel features Emmanuelle Vaugier, Sid Haig, and Sticky Fingaz.
Off-the-Shelf FX: Transitions and some action scenes in the first movie use footage from the original game, that is to say the one released in 1996.
The Other Darrin: Rudy's and Alicia's actors are replaced in the sequel. It also makes it seem that Rudy aged two decades in a short time.
