The Legend of the Titanic/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Both films:

First film:

  • Complete Monster: The evil whalers and the sharks.
  • Critical Research Failure: Even more so than that other Titanic cartoon.
  • Crowning Music of Awesome: The closing credits song, 'Ocean Dreams' (or 'Ocean of Dreams') sung by Cynthia Z.
  • Hey, It's That Voice!: The guy who voices Elizabeth's evil fiance also voiced Fritz the rapping dog. Poor man...
  • Strangled by the Red String: Our hero and heroine share a sniffed glove, a dance and one whole sentence before realizing they're meant to be together.
    • Heck, the mice couple is this too. They share one line of dialogue and a dance as well and Surprise!!! They get wedded at the end.
  • Unfortunate Implications: Denying that the Titanic was terrible accident in which anyone died just for a trite anti-whaling screed. It's enough to make you wonder if the people behind the film were even aware that Cameron's film was based on a real event where hundreds senselessly died.

Second film:

  • Hilarious in Hindsight: "This liquid looks pretty! Let's drink it.". The said liquid is colored green. In these days, one of the more well-known drug detectors will turn the drink green when it discovers a date rape drug.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The scene at the end, when the escaped rats are all seen in an insane asylum. Especially the nurse giggling madly while the doctor talks about how there's no hope of them recovering. The protagonists all laugh when they see this.
  • Scenery Porn: Surprisingly, a lot of shots at Atlantis are very well-drawn.
  • The Scrappy: Pingo has that reputation.
  • What Do You Mean It Wasn't Made on Drugs?: There's a scene where the talking dog is riding in a seahorse-driven chariot and shooting a magical flintlock pistol at some evil sharks. It's either the most awesome thing every filmed, or the crackiest thing this side of Katamari Damacy.
