  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • Just the state Rainbow Dash finds Pinkie Pie in. As mentioned in the story, it's just so...unnatural to see Pinkie Pie so depressed and scared...
    • Pinkie Pie's nightmare. We see and hear enough to know it must've been horrific.
    • It originally started off as a Cupcakes spinoff. That should be enough to feed some ideas.
  • Sweet Dreams Fuel: Has been called so heartwarming that it's gained a reputation for neutralize not only its own Nightmare Fuel but also the one in Cupcakes.
  • Tear Jerker: When Pinkie breaks down in tears recounting her nightmare.
  • The Woobie: Pinkie Pie. After how effectively the story breaks her, it's very hard not to feel sorry for her. Or good for her when things get better in the end.
