The Trap Door/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Nightmare Fuel: Ahem, Creepy, crawly slimy things that stick onto your skin, horrid beasts with tentacles that want to pull you in. Squirmy worms, slugs and snails that lie there in the goo...they'll wait down there forever til they get their hands on YOU!
  • And the Fandom Rejoiced: A DVD of every episode isn't too hard to find.
  • Anticlimax Boss: The Splund, a large intimidating teleporting monster spends the majority of it's appearance terrifying Boni and Drut and being the definition of Nightmare Fuel with it's creepy voice and laugh...then Berk pops him with a needle.
  • Cult Classic
  • Crowning Music of Awesome: The Theme tune.
  • Getting Crap Past the Radar: The dialogue includes a lot of ordinary words that could be taken another way by '80/90s schoolkids. The YMMV is whether they are a shot under the radar, genuinely innocent, or a Take That at people who see innuendo everywhere.
    • "I wasn't singing, he was bonking me..." (see also Memetic Mutation. "Bonking" is UK slang for "having sex (with)", especially used among adolescents (the word, not the deed...)).
    • "I'm gonna stuff this implement right up his tube!"
    • "If you've got a problem, stuff a worm in it."
    • "It's a lump. I like lumps."
  • Memetic Mutation: "It's bonkin' time! I loves a bit o' bonkin'!"
  • The Woobie: Berk at times
