What's the trope for one character offering a stock joke setup, but another character gives a completely unexpected answer?

For example:

Stock joke:

Alice: Do you like Kipling?
Bob: I don't know; I've never Kippled.

From the movie Clue, as quoted on Is It Something You Eat?#Films -- Live-Action:

Col. Mustard: You like Kipling, Miss Scarlet?
Miss Scarlet: Sure, I'll eat anything.

Maybe Outside Joke

Outside Joke looks to me to be a subtrope of Don't Explain the Joke - not the same thing.

A variety of Paraprosdokian, perhaps?

That's closer than anything else I can think of - and the description given on Wikipedia doesn't say that only one person makes the statement.

I think "larger discourse" covers your need sufficiently until we find a better choice.
