- Hey, It's That Guy!: Several actors who were or would become well-known were present in this film:
- June Lockhart portrayed Eunice and her daughter Anne played Eunice's younger self.
- Apparently, at one time, Ben Stone used to be a book reviewer and lived in 1980s San Francisco.
- Ditto for Elaine Benes.
- Sonny Bono!
- Or Atreyu, for that matter.
- Phil Fondacaro as Malcolm Mallory and the body double for Torok the troll. Phil was also Vincent the dwarf in Bordello of Blood and Chihuahua in Land of the Dead.
- Hey, It's That Voice!: Frank Welker is the voice of Torok the troll as well as most of the trolls, goblins, elfs, and other creatures.
- Name's the Same: The main character of this movie, and that other Harry Potter
