- Even Better Sequel: In regards to Shyamalan's follow-up to The Sixth Sense, there is a group of people who believe that this film is Shyamalan's best. Possibly because it isn't as well known and subject to Hype Backlash.
- First Installment Wins: While Split is beloved as a horror classic and Glass got mixed reviews, the first film is beloved in its own right.

- Vindicated by History: When this film came out, superhero films were few and far between, and deconstructing something so obscure seemed bizarre. Today superheroes dominate the box office and Unbreakable would fit right in.
- Double feature with Hancock, anyone?
- The Woobie: Due to genetics being a crapshoot, Elijah has spent roughly a third of his life in a hospital bed. In the end, he is revealed as a Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds.
