I note that your new pages for Fire Emblem Fates/Characters‎ do not yet appear to be copying TVT's content, and in fact seem to be trying to be different so far -- good. Keep that up.

And I'm sorry, but I've had to delete Fire Emblem Fates/YMMV because although there were some token rephrasings, the text you used to create the page was entirely too close to TVT.

Why is that a problem? Most of the content on the page when I got here was copied from TV Tropes.

It was copied in the original forking of the tropebase, before TV Tropes changed which Creative Commons License they used. Somewhere between July 8 and July 17, 2012 TVT switched from the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License to the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. All The Tropes is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International license, which is incompatible with TVT's current license, which means any material that you add to the wiki cannot legally be copied from TV Tropes unless you are the original author and can prove it.

TL;DR -- it's illegal to cut'n'paste from TVT to us, and vice versa, because our licenses don't match.

If you want to blame someone for the inconvenience, blame Fast Eddie, who changed the licenses without warning (and without consulting all the thousands of copyright holders who'd contributed to TVT) because he was pissed off that forks had been made and wanted to keep anyone else from "stealing" what he thought of as "his wiki".

Also, in case you're not aware of it, I am one of the wiki administrators, and reverting my edit fixing our legal liability is grounds for a tempban. I am going to give you a pass this time around, but do it again, and you will have a brief vacation. We don't like to do that to new users, so please pay attention to the few rules and policies we have, and number one among them is: Don't cut and paste from TVT. Ever.
