A list of films in which characters have unusual colored hair.


Animation

  • Most of the characters in Sky Blue have fairly sensible hair, but Jay has unnatural red hair, Cade's is white, and Maya's is green. Zed has mauve hair, but since he's a punk with a long tube of hair extending from the top of his head, it's likely to be dyed.
  • The appropriately-named "Blue" in We Are the Strange
  • In the Tinker Bell movies, Tinker Bell's friend, Silvermist, has hair that is blue. MOST people would argue that it's a dark shade of black. However, in the books, her hair is REALLY blue, and some of Tink's friends have odd hair colors too, like Prilla, who's hair is a really bright shade of orange. Also, you can make your fairy have weird hair colors in the game.
  • Beauty in Aachi and Ssipak has blue hair.
  • Coraline has brown hair that she dyes blue. Not a Shy Blue-Haired Girl though.
  • Emily, the eponymous Corpse Bride, has blue hair, which sort of makes sense considering she's dead.


Live Action

  • Leeloo from The Fifth Element has neon orange hair. In his review, Roger Ebert noted that Leeloo "comes into existence with flaming red hair already dark at the roots (those cells remember everything)."
  • The 1948 film The Boy With Green Hair is about a boy with...well, guess. A young Dean Stockwell plays the boy in question, who is ridiculed and attacked by his neighbors after his hair inexplicably turns green overnight. He later finds out that it turned green because his parents were killed in The Blitz, and his hair will make him noticeable so he can teach people that war is bad.
  • The girl mook from The 6th Day changes hair color every time she dies/gets cloned.
  • Lola from Run Lola Run has bright Kool-Aid red colored hair.
  • Clementine in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind also alternates between blue, red, and green hair over the course of the film, but the film has Anachronic Order, so you actually see this in the wrong order. It's also a good rule of thumb as to what point in time you're at when the film starts jumping around.
  • Ramona Flowers changes her hair color like every week and a half. Get used to it, dude.
    • Knives Chau puts a blue streak in her hair while failing to cope with breaking up. It's not there for long, because Todd punches the highlights out of her hair. He's a rockstar. He's not afraid to hit a girl.
  • Jonathan Rhys Meyers' Brian Slade, when he isn't blonde, has jewel-tone blue Ziggy-cut hair. Or is that Maxwell-cut...
