- Flanderization: Oshiroi goes from straight up Cloudcuckoolander to Covert Pervert, and whether she still fulfills the "lovable" part of Lovable Sex Maniac later on depends on whom you ask.
- I Read That As: Ben 10.
- No Yay: Despite the Fan Service, the Furo Scene with Ume and Shaga comes off as borderline rape. Mostly because it is.
- Ditto for episode 9 when Ume practically starts molesting Oshiroi.
- The Scrappy: Compared to the other characters, Ume is intensely unpopular among fans of the show.
- Draco in Leather Pants: On the other hand, the Yuri Fan adores her because 1) she's quite clearly a lesbian and shows it by unapologetic, non-tsundere kind of jackassery toward male MC, 2) by doing so, make a Take That toward the "bland MC" approach in harem anime, 3) she's an aloof Hime Cut character and her target of affection shares VA with Madoka, resulting in a lot of Squee.
- Uncanny Valley: Any time the animators try to draw lips. The operative word here is try.
- Woolseyism: The fansubbers have been doing a very good job with this series as a whole, but then you get lines like this:
