Boondox is a rapper from Covington, Georgia whose stage persona is a Scary Scarecrow. His music generally mixes Horrorcore, country and rock. Much of his lyrics derive from Deep South fears, à la The Texas Chainsaw Massacre or House of 1000 Corpses. He's also released some Gangsta Rap tracks under the names "Turn Coat Dirty" and "Yung Dirt".

Boondox was the only Southern artist signed to Psychopathic Records, but left the label in 2012 because he found it difficult to work in Detroit, where Psychopathic and label heads Insane Clown Posse are located, being that his friends and family are in Georgia.

Boondox provides examples of the following tropes:

Big Screwed-Up Family: His song "Family Tree" which is about his real life family.

Deal with the Devil: Used for effect in Cold Day In Hell:

I soul my soul for a .45
a black cowboy hat and a switchblade knife
I'm gonna burn like a sinner if they take my life
but it'll be a cold day in hell before they take my pride...

Deep South: Boondox' music is heavily based around these themes; particularly in the singles from his first two albums, "They Pray With Snakes" (from The Harvest), which is about backward hillbilly snake charmers, and "Inbred Evil" (from Krimson Creek), which is about a serial killer who is the evil product of incest, having murdered his parents, and kills anyone who comes around the woods where he resides. Mockery of hillbillies and rednecks is a reoccurring theme in Psychopathic lyrics.
Don't Go in The Woods: Several of his songs. Hell, you may never want to get within 50 feet of a tree after hearing some of his songs.
Dubstep: His Halloween song for 2011 has a beat that was created by a Dubstep artist.
Evil Uncle: Boondox's real life uncle, WHO TRIED TO DROWN HIM WHEN HE WAS ONLY TWO YEARS OLD.
Gargle Blaster: Sippin' takes this Up to Eleven.
Gorn: One of the best examples is "Red Mist" which is basically gore porn in song form.
Hell Gate: These are mentioned from time to time in some of his lyrics, but they never really get much focus.
Hillbilly Horrors: Oh good god, yes. So very much.

Knife Nut: "Love of My Knife" takes this to very very unhealthy levels.

Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: He's a scary Monster Clown scarecrow country rapper.
Reclusive Artist: To the point that a documentery made about him implies that he lives in a worn down old shed in the middle of nowhere.
Scary Scarecrows: His image is heavily based around this as well.
Sweet Home Alabama: While Deep South imagery is played with, Boondox also uses this as well, in "Southern Nights", "Country Life" and "Heathen", for starters. The South has good and bad aspects to it.
Torture Cellar: Many.
Villainous Incest: Mentioned often. Including his own origin song "Seven"
Xtreme Kool Letterz: Like the other Psychopathic Records artists.
