Christina Ricci is a Former Child Star, and now respected actress in her own right. Ricci acted in such movies as Mermaids (alongside Cher and Winona Ryder), The Addams Family motion pictures, and as an adult in The Opposite of Sex, Buffalo 66, Sleepy Hollow, Monster and the remake of That Darn Cat. Most recently, she has appeared in the films Speed Racer and New York, I Love You. Also starred as Sexy Stewardess Maggie on Pan Am.
Her acting roles provide examples of:
- Creepy Child: As Wednesday Addams.
- Deliberately Cute Child: Again, in her child actress days.
- Eerie Pale Skinned Brunette
- Femme Fatale: In The Opposite of Sex and Black Snake Moan.
- Fille Fatale
- Goth
- Hazel Eyes
- Mysterious Waif
- Older Than They Look
- Shiny Midnight Black: Her hair colour.
- Strange Girl: As Wednesday Addams.
- Short Dark And Bishoujo
- The Rival: In her child acting days she was both this and a Distaff Counterpart to Macaulay Culkin. As she got older, Christina on several occasions found herself being offered roles that Natalie Portman had for one reason or another (usually her schooling) turned down; rather than be insulted, Ricci chose to view it as a plus that if Portman was unavailable, she was the second choice.
- Wise Beyond Their Years: As a child she was known to be very precocious, as well as very professional. One director who worked with her in her tweens was reported to have said, "This must be what working with Jodie Foster as a child was like."
