Futari wa Pretty Cure Blue Moon/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Acceptable Hobby Targets (In-universe, Asa is one of these to her classmates, at least in the beginning.)
  • Crack Pairing (Pretty Cure Anime Theatre has done Emiru/Asa fic. Later, on a Halloween dare, the author herself wrote more Emiru/Asa, making it almost an OOC running gag. Her reaction to the original Emiru/Asa fic is here.)
  • Crowning Moment of Funny: "You're my father, aren't you!?"
    • "Hidoinaa... panties."
    • Anything Binbeat does, really.
    • Sunday's initial reaction to becoming a magical girl. She was expecting spandex, not frills!
    • Mia's baking. Actually, the whole bonus episode, but mostly Mia's baking. How can one person be that bad?
  • Complete Monster: ...Kainatrol, you're mean.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse (Prior to episode 12, Emiru had few fans and most of the readers just wanted to kill her, but joining the ranks of Dark Magical Girl fan-favourites like Ashley, Kane and Sora (and however fleeting her actual evil stint was, Emiru is still Millusion) made her more popular than her level of pagetime would suggest, with crossover writers making her more important than Hoshi, Yukari and Mia, or even as important as Asa and Yoko themselves.)
  • Evil Is Sexy (Hitosalesque is a burlesque dancer. Before The Movie was scrapped, it was slated to be about her. The main series villains, though, aren't played up as attractive, and in two cases it would just be weird. A few readers do find Kainatrol sexy, too...)
  • Hilarious in Hindsight (Following the Named After Somebody Famous pattern of most of the classmates, Hoshi's last name is Kondou, like Nana Mizuki's real name. Consider what happened over a year later, when the real Nana Mizuki was announced to star in Heartcatch Pretty Cure.)
  • I Knew It! ("Dawn" standing for "Cure Dawn" was guessed by a reader in a Free-For-All Friday post. Ami-sensei being Cure Dusk was guessed in a number of places.)
    • Plot points that the author thought of when conceptualizing the series during 5GoGo's run have come to happen during Fresh, Heartcatch, and Suite, sometimes before Blue Moon gets around to the reveal -- such as the Mysterious Watcher being a former Cure, the Cures ending up with a ton of civilian Secret Keepers, and previously-thought-powerless former Cures transforming again. She can often be found grumbling "not again, Toei" in the fan communities.
  • Moral Event Horizon (Kainatrol reacts to betrayal very badly. How badly? The "kill your sister, lord it over her business partner and possible boyfriend while rubbing it in that he couldn't do anything to save her, pull a "join me or die", and proceed to make his now-eternal life miserable" kind of badly.
    • And then she kills Eiender. Oh, excuse me. Manipulates him into wanting to erase himself from existence.
  • Rescued from the Scrappy Heap (People used to hate Emiru. Then she got superpowers and became somewhat nicer.)
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds (Every member of the Etherium. Binbeat's somewhat borderline, as he didn't know what he was getting into at first, he still doesn't completely comprehend the consequences, and he never actually destroyed his own world because the Etherium was driven back by Andante; however, he, like the others, still felt betrayed by his world and he has at least contributed to the destruction of others.)
