Trivia about Justice League (2017 film) includes:

  • Creator Backlash: Zack Snyder and especially Chris Terrio hated how the Whedon Cut turned out, with the latter wanting to take his name off the screenwriting credits.
  • Deleted Role: Many characters who appeared in the Snyder Cut's scenes were removed entirely including Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Ray Porter as Darkseid and Harry Lennix as Martian Manhunter.
  • Executive Meddling:
    • The executives at WB insisted on the addition of humor and brighter colors and made it faster paced against Snyder's wishes.
    • On the other hand, the executives thought the scene where Batman encounters the Parademon at the rooftop was too funny and made it a little more serious.
  • Fan Nickname: Snyderverse fans have given this version the nicknames "Josstice League" and the "Whedon Cut" to help differentiate it with the 2021 Snyder Cut.
  • Troubled Production: Zack Snyder stepped down as director due to a family tragedy. Joss Whedon was brought in to rewrite and reshoot the film.
