- Blooper: When David (Grant) is meeting Natalie for the first time, during the continuous shot of David going into Downing Street and then meeting the people from a distance he is wearing one tie. When they do the close-ups of David's conversation he has a different colored tie on.
- Hey It's That Guy: If someone wasn't a star already, they are this trope.
- Arthur Dent is a body double.
- Colin manages to find Betty Draper, Kim Bauer, and Valenka all hanging out together in a bar in Wisconsin.
- He gets to that bar in a taxi driven by Ivan from The Machinist.
- And he brings Nadia and Christmas Jones back to the UK.
- Stacey, back when she was known as "Just Judy". Dawn used to cater weddings.
- Jamie's girlfriend at the start of the movie is Jill Valentine in the 2nd and 4th Resident Evil movies.
- Elizabeth Swann is marrying The Operative.
- Chiwetel Ejiofor has had an increased exposure to U.S. audiences thanks to this role. This troper's own mother refers to him as "that black British guy from 'Love Actually' whose name I can't pronounce."
- So has Bill Nighy (Billy Mack).
- Mark moved to Atlanta to deal with The Walking Dead.
- Sarah is in love with Xerxes aka Paulo aka Raul Castro
- Don't forget Qui Gon-Jin and his step-son Ferb
- Professor Snape and Professor Trelawney are married now?
- What Could Have Been: Rowan Atkinson's character was originally going to appear in every single story (rather than just being a Cardinal Wolsey) with the strong implication that he was an angel. This is hinted in the airport scene where Atkinson's character gives Daniel a knowing glance after he "accidentally" allows Sam to get through airport security. Sort of the Christmassy equivalent to Sam from Trick R Treat.
- Simon Pegg also auditioned for that part.
