Name's the Same: In this game, Zero is not the defender against Holy Britanian Empire.
- Nor is Snake the cofounder of Philanthropy. (Or any of the other snakes.)
  - And Light isn't Kira.
  - Both sure can take a lot of bullets without dying though.
- Junpei cannot transform into a Digimon, nor can he summon a Persona.
What Could Have Been: The game's initial concept was about a boy and a girl handcuffed to one another, trying to escape. Fortunately, it was rejected.
- Snake was suppose to have reading glasses and his name originally called "Santa", while Santa is "Snake".

Word of God: According to the creator, the nine characters were based on the nine character archetypes of The Enneagram of Personality. Specifically:

- Snake an Investigator (5)
- Santa an Enthusiast (7)

- Seven a Helper (2)
- Lotus an Individualist (4)
