Space Jam: A New Legacy/YMMV
These things about Space Jam: A New Legacy are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.
- Just Here for Godzilla: Many fans of WB properties admitted to seeing the film for the cameos.
- Older Than You Think: The Looney Tunes spoofed The Matrix in a web cartoon two decades before this film came out.
- One-Scene Wonder: Rick and Morty, who found Taz.
- Sequelitis: The film is generally considered a step backwards from the first film.
- Spiritual Licensee: The movie is basically if WB made Kingdom Hearts.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character:
- The Nerdlucks return, but their animation was recycled from the first movie with them cheering for the Goon Squad and nothing else.
- Jim Carrey was initally reported to return as the Mask, but in the final film, the character is played by someone else with no lines.
- Took the Bad Film Seriously: Don Cheadle had a good performance as Al-G Rhythm.
- Unfortunate Implications: Pepe Le Pew's gimmick of relentlessly pursuing his romantic interests hasn't aged well and led to his parts being cut, which is understandable - removing him from the film while leaving references to A Clockwork Orange intact? Not so much.
- What Do You Mean It's for Kids?: The film is filled with cameos from properties with mature content such as Rick and Morty, Pennywise... A Clockwork Orange!?
