THQ (short for "Toy Headquarters") is a video game publisher and developer based in California. Originally a publisher of licensed games during the NES and SNES era (a lot of them not very good), it has since expanded its product to include original IPs such as Saints Row, Company of Heroes, and Destroy All Humans!.

In recent years, however, THQ has gone through some tough financial times. It has closed down several studios, laid off thousands of workers, and moved on from licensed properties based on kids' shows to focus on "high quality-owned I Ps".
