So I'm not really sure how uploading images here works since I'm not really well-versed in and licensing, copyright, and all that legal stuff. But would it be okay to use fanart for pages like this? Because I think this piece of Bug Fables fanart would be a perfect page image. And as seen here, I've gotten permission from the artist to use it provided that they're credited and a link is posted to their blog.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

It is most definitely okay to use fanart - other pages already do.

And I've just told the server that you're a Confirmed user, so you now have the rights to be able to upload images. (I'm surprised that we didn't give you those rights when we gave you the "Autopatrolled" rights.)

Now, I'm going to ask you to read a wiki policy page: Uploading and Adding an Image to a Page. That page should answer all of your questions - if it doesn't, then feel free to ask on my User Talk page for more help.

And thank you for doing all of this work!

Got it! Thanks again!

Should we launch this?

The trope has a good name, a well-written description, far more examples than the bare minimum, and one category more than the minimum.

This is the first time I've ever said "Just Launch It Already" the same day that a candidate was posted to the workshop. Why is this not already a trope?

Shall we launch this?

No objections here.

I don't know if it feels right to vote for launching a trope I made (or rather, introduced this site's alternative to one of TV Tropes' unique tropes), but I am reasonably proud of the way it looks and wouldn't object to it launching!

Just one thing I wanted to double-check on though: this trope IS kosher and doesn't run afoul of any copyright issues, right? Like, it's meant to be this site's equivalent to Wicked Wasp (with a bit of Scary Stinging Swarm for good measure) but I made sure to write every entry from scratch as opposed to copy-pasting. I'm probably being paranoid, but the last thing I want to do is cause trouble by overlooking a potential legal issue.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

We like it when people are that paranoid - it's exactly the process that needs to be done to avoid copyright issues.

And that's three votes to launch.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

Launched, complete with references back to the trope page.

Really glad to have gotten this off the ground! Thanks for letting me propose this!
