The Road to El Dorado/YMMV
- Ass Pull: So a man on the street that they were gambling against just so happened to have a map leading to El Dorado as the Spanish fleet were going to South America AND just so happened to land right where El Dorado was?
- Anthropic Principle is your friend.
- I suggest the MST3K Mantra. It works better.
- Epileptic Trees suggest divine intervention.
- Anthropic Principle is your friend.
- Best Known for the Fanservice: Many remember Chel from the film. It helps that she is popular among female cosplayers.
- Crowning Music of Awesome: It's one of the better parts of an already exceptional movie.
- Cult Classic: It has become a cult classic due to the gorgeous animation, really funny humor and likable characters.
- Die for Our Ship: There's a site just for Chel haters. They don't give any reasons why they hate her, but this trope is the most likely reason.
- Fountain of Memes: This is one of the most quotable DreamWorks Animation films alongside the Shrek franchise and Bee Movie.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Disney's Tangled came out 10 years later. Tell me that Flynn Rider and Maximus look nothing Tulio and Altivo.
- Actually, a favorite joke (or serious WMG) of Tulio/Miguel shippers is that Flynn is Tulio and Miguel's gay lovechild.
- Large Ham: Tzekel-Kan. Probably intentional.
- "MIGHTY AND POWERFUL GODS!"
- Love to Hate: Tzekel-Kan, probably for being somewhat realistic despite being a total nutcase. His powers are legitimately interesting though.
- Nightmare Fuel: On the DVD, when you press play on the menu, that Stone Jaguar just LEAPS right in front of the screen, face close to the camera with a loud roar. The Jaguar probably isn’t quite as scary as Hernando Cortes though.
- Vindicated by History: Since it came out on DVD, it gained a huge following for the likable leads and supply of humor.
- What Do You Mean It's Not for Kids?: It's not an adult movie, but it's certainly no kiddy DreamWorks film either.
