The Story Beyond the Portal is a Phineas and Ferb fanfic written by Stinkfly3 and Myron Greenleaf. It takes places ten minutes after the events of Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, explaining what happened to the 2nd Dimension gang after they went back to their home.

- Darker and Edgier: This whole fanfic is a more violent version of the movie it's based on, proving the 2nd Dimension is nothing like the everyday lives of the people in the 1st Dimension.
- Inspiration Nod: Phineas' character development was originally inspired by Spider Man. [1]
- Never Trust a Trailer: The fanmade YouTube trailer implied that Phineas would kill 1D Phineas and steal his life. That doesn't happen in the fanfic. He travels to the 1st Dimension to ask 1D Phineas for advice.
