Change the title of "Improbably Female Cast"?

Yes, I know, harple darple, Tambl Soapy Jingle Warbler or whatever. But you can admit, the fact that it's implicitly saying that male casts are "default" (Which is an obnoxious core to alot of crappy applications-of-tropes, but that's for another topic) is kind of fucked up.

I'd suggest the name "Fundamentally Female Cast", so it's not inferring that it's an inherently "abnormal" trope, but also not the kind of bland that the quest for more inclusive naming sometimes tends to stumble into.

The rename does roll off the tongue better, and the logic seems sensible enough.

Which is the whole point of it as written? Not that the old name doesn't sound clunky.

And yes, there is a Missing Supertrope.

Trope has been renamed.

Couldn't we just have created Improbably Male Cast (or even merge both concepts into Improbably Gender-biased Cast or something)? Both can be improbable, at least in certain contexts. I've read one or two things that had improbably male casts; one that comes to mind is a book that portrayed a modern software company as having an almost entirely male workforce. I would have preferred this solution because "improbable" means what it says.

Modern software companies are typically mostly male.
