I just noticed that you renamed The Batman (film) to Batman (serial) to make way for a page for the new film.

Please don't do this without asking first. Page renames are serious business, as they can break all manner of links, onsite and offsite, coming to the page. They are only done after discussion, unless it's a mod fixing something that needs fixing.

Further, you made bad choices in your new names, something you would not have done if you had asked first. Our preferred way to handle this particular kind of case would be to add the year to the media type -- "The Batman (1943 film)" and "The Batman (2021 film)" would be the proper naming conventions, with a new page at "The Batman (film)" to disambiguate between them. As soon as I'm done here I'm going to actually fix that, so don't be surprised if you don't find things where you expect them.

In the future, if you think something major like this needs doing, ask first on the talk page and flag the admins by adding the {{admins}} template to the message.

EDIT: One other thing you didn't do properly -- you left the old categories in place. Among the categories every top-level page has is one with the same name as the page; here you left all the old categories unrenamed, so multiple different works are all categorized as the same work. This makes for confusion and sometimes problems in searching. I will also fix this.

EDIT 2: You also did not change the DEFAULTSORT tag on the various pages so that they would sort properly with relation to other things called "The Batman". Again, casual page renaming breaks many many things.

I promise not to rename without the admins' permission.
