Your blog about Cyperpunk the tabletop game, is a direct copy of a TVT article which was started in September 2012, three months after the copyright cutoff. If you have permission from the individual editors, we can post it.

He's tried it again, I don't think he read your post.

Derivative (talkcontribs)

Noted.

Johnnysevens7 (talkcontribs)

I was rewriting it to better suit the websites standards, which you'd know if you'd have read it.

While the changes you had made were minor and not trans-formative enough to make it not a violation in my view, I will open this up to other admins for a second opinion. It should also be noted your previous failure to respond when I deleted the first violation did not help your case.

Agreed. If you're going to "adapt" a TVT article for our use, do it off the wiki and only post it when it's completely transformed. We are not an online word processor, and posting a TVT article with only cosmetic changes (regardless of your alleged reasons) puts us at considerable legal liability.

Then is there a way to get the copy I posted on the blog? Because that's where I was working on it, why do you think I posted it there? It was for feedback.

Derivative (talkcontribs)

Do you want me to give you a pastebin link of it?

Johnnysevens7 (talkcontribs)

Please.

Derivative (talkcontribs)

Seriously, though

It's very unwise to copy wholesale from TVTropes - even without the dubious legality regarding the content's licensing, plagiarizing wholesale is simply bad form. The Trope Workshop exists if you want to create an article from scratch (and that does mean "from the ground up"). Please stop using user blogs to try and end-around the rule(s) regarding this.

I've blocked him for a day, with the only actions available are editing his talk page to respond, because flat out ignoring previous warnings is taking the piss.
