Your new page Kidz Bop/Heartwarming was missing all the markup necessary to properly integrate it functionally and stylistically with the rest of the wiki and immediately popped up on a "broken page" report I just ran. I have added the missing code, but in the future do not just open a new page and dump stuff blindly into it. We have templates that automate 90% of page design for you, and they are easily accessible via the "Create New" button on existing wiki pages (if you are creating a subpage), the ATT Page Creator (which will pre-populate work, creator and trope pages for you) or from the "Select boilerplate" dropdown menu at the top of the edit window when you create a page from scratch. If you don't know how to code a page from scratch, using a boilerplate is mandatory.

You can find out more about the boilerplates and how to use them on All The Tropes:Page Templates.

Because you have a history of consistent good edits, the moderation staff of All The Tropes has chosen to grant you membership in the autopatrolled group. This gives you several privileges, but the most important one is that your edits will no longer need to be processed through the Moderation queue for approval by an admin, but will now be applied directly to the wiki. This is an awesome responsibility, but we are confident that you can handle it.

Yay! Thanks!

Your proposed edit to Kidz Bop/YMMV has been rejected in moderation...

...not because there was anything wrong with it, but because Nightmare Fuel and Tear Jerker both have their own subpage types and most of your edit should go on one or the other. Please resubmit your edits on the appropriate subpages and they'll be approved pretty much automatically.

If you didn't keep a copy of the text you submitted, we can provide you with a copy of it.

Speaking of which, may I receive a copy, please?

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Sure:

* Nausea Fuel: Their version of "Not A Bad Thing" by Justin Timberlake sounds a little bit disgusting, especially when they say "'Cause you might look around and find your dreams come true with me." You can't drink Sprite while listening to that!
* Nightmare Fuel: Even a "children's" brand has fallen guilty of this.
**Their version of "Feel Good Inc." by Gorillaz from album 9 starts with laughter that sounds even more menacing and aggressive! And that same laugh is heard later in the song!
**The loud synth fanfare at the beginning of Justin Bieber's "Somebody To Love" from album 19.
**Their version of "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga manages to remove all of the terrifying LGBTQ+ lyrics, but the fact that it literally starts with loud synth static and wind is disturbing in its own rights. It's even track 1 on Kidz Bop 20.
**The start of their version of Ariana Grande's "Break Free" from album 27 is even worse than the original. It's louder, more overbearing, and sounds like a technology error or a computer crashing as a result of a virus.
* Periphery Demographic: The band's music is aimed at kids, but there are a lot of people between 10 and 40 that listen to their music.
* Retroactive Recognition: Many famous singers or celebrities who were once Kidz Bop Kids include Becky G, Ross Lynch, Dana Vaughns, Jaysen Thomkins, etc. The latter of whom is the developer of The Clyde Erwin Show.
* Tear Jerker:
**Their cover of "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter in album 10 manages to be just as heartbreaking as the original. Not helped by the heartless children cheering "WHOO!" "YEAH!" and "HEY!"
**Their covers of OneRepublic's "I Lived" from album 28 and Andy Grammer's "Honey, I'm Good!" from album 29. The fact that they're both track 13 in their respective albums (as a result of a coincidence) is also noteworthy.
**The beginning of Meghan Trainor's "Dear Future Husband," and Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" from album 29 as well as The Black Eyed Peas' "Meet Me Halfway" from album 17 also qualify, also worth mentioning that the latter two are both track 14 in their respective albums.
**Their cover of "Say Something" by A Great Big World from album 26 (which is also, not surprisingly, track 14) manages to be even more depressing than the original. Thankfully, the album 27 version is pushed up to 15 (or 19 if you have Target Exclusive bonus tracks) and makes it more upbeat.

Thank you (still not sure how I got 7 notifications)

Your edit of Kidz Bop/YMMV is still in the Moderation queue, pending some review that I don't have time to give it right now. (Perhaps another mod can get to it before I do, so I'll ping the mods on this message.) One thing that I did notice in a quick skim through it is that you used bold, italics, and all-caps in at least one place... and that's the text equivalent of shouting at the top of your lungs.

Please don't shout at the other Tropers.

Simple italics should be enough emphasis in the vast majority of cases - we even say that in the wiki's style guide, and we tone down the volume when we see it on older pages.

You are not in trouble. We know that everybody makes simple mistakes in their first few edits, especially in matters of wiki style.

I was not actually angry at anyone, I was just surprised. Also, what do you mean that's loud? It wasn't really as loud as the start of Kidz Bop's cover of "Break Free."

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

It's the whole "shouting" bit that comes across as loud to some people. (Believe it or not, I've actually heard complaints about overuse of emphasis.)
