...not because you did anything wrong, but because your edit included changes which are symptomatic of a known problem whereby the Visual Editor will corrupt the source of a page. This isn't your fault, of course, but we need to reject the edit to protect the page content.

Please feel free to resubmit your edit using the Source Editor ("Edit source" on the menu found at the top of the page in most skins) to eliminate the chance of further random corruption.

... because it is missing all the markup necessary to integrate it functionally and stylistically with the rest of the wiki, and because it only has two tropes listed instead of the suggested minimum of five to ten. Please review our Works Page Guidelines and recreate the page using the "work" prompt on the ATT Page Creator, which will start you in a blank page with all required markup already in place.

I recreated the page on the “work” prompt.

Unfortunately we had to reject your second try for two reasons: one, you seem to have deleted all the categories and bottom-of-page markup from the page template -- this is a critical part of integrating the page functionally with the wiki and needs to be there. Second, you created the page with double quotes around its title. The latter wouldn't normally be a reason to bounce the page -- we would have just renamed it right after approval and dropped you a note about it -- but since you're going to have to recreate the page anyway, we wanted to let you know to name it right.

Also, something went wrong with your uploaded file "Book Cover .png" -- the file wasn't there to be approved. I'm not sure why. You'll need to re-upload it. When you do, we strongly suggest you give it a somewhat more descriptive name. There is more than one book in the world, and some of them have multiple covers. Please check out Uploading and Adding an Image to a Page for advice and instructions.

...because for some reason it includes unnecessary HTML markup, some of which may cause rendering problems for the page. It also deletes a large amount of whitespace which we want in the page for purposes of readability when editing. Finally, you have made a number of changes to links that replace simpler coding with unnecessarily complicated alternatives -- for instance, turning Mandatory Twist Endings -- which produces Mandatory Twist Endings when rendered -- with Mandatory Twist Endings, which does exactly the same thing in twice as many characters for absolutely no benefit. Similarly, turning trolling into trolling. Why did you waste the time recoding so many working links in a far more inefficient way?

Please resubmit the actual content changes without all the rest of this mess and they should get passed quickly.

Your proposed edit to "Flanderization/Western Animation" has been rejected in moderation...

... because some of the material, especially that discussing the second flanderization of Patrick Star from SpongeBob SquarePants, is entirely too close to that found on the corresponding page at TV Tropes, with entire sentences essentially identical to the TVT text. As noted below, this is copyright infringement and illegal.

Because it has been seven months since your last incident of infringement, this is merely a warning, along with a strong suggestion that you thoroughly rewrite anything you want to add to the page in your own words.

Your proposed edit to "Limited Animation" has been rejected in moderation...

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

... because it is a word-for-word copy of material from TV Tropes's Limited Animation page. This is copyright infringement as the material postdates the fork and TV Tropes' subsequent change of license in 2012. Because All The Tropes and TV Tropes run under different Creative Commons licenses, content created there after 2012 cannot legally be used here without the express written approval of all the editors who contributed to it.

Feel free to rewrite the material in your own words and resubmit it, but we strongly recommend you read our Copyrights policy first.

Finally we strongly recommend that you read All The Tropes:How We Do Bans Around Here. This isn't a threat -- this is the wiki policy strictly controlling how and when user bans can be applied by an Admin. We want you to be aware that unlike TVT, we do not ban users on whims or because we're cranky.
