Tropes used in Well There’s Your Problem include:
  • Acceptable Political Targets: The rich.
  • Author Appeal: Trains, especially electrified rail (Though importantly not Battery Electric Locomotives)
  • Bias Steamroller: Corporate negligence. Given that the show is about engineering disasters often caused by such negligence, it’s not hard to see why.
  • Black Comedy: The hosts often wisecrack when discussing engineering disasters with fatalities.
  • Catch Phrase: "Yay Liam!"
  • Cryptid Episode: Shades of this in the first episode with the discussion of Mothman, with Justin initially being anti mothman, before realizing he lives close enough to West Virginia that Mothman could threaten him, to being straight pro Mothman for destroying the road bridge, but not the rail bridge.
  • Early Installment Weirdness: Early episodes are comparatively short (Under one hour) and to the point compared to most of the series.
  • Guest Host: Frequently brings on guests, especially if they have expertise on the subject.
  • Hiroshima as a Unit of Measure: Often rephrases costs as how many Xboxes something would buy.
  • The Other Wiki: Mentioned in the very first episode.
  • Rail Enthusiast: The hosts like locomotives, especially Cool ones.
  • The Smurfette Principle: November is frequently the only female host.
