Catalyst is a fantasy webcomic made by Esther Chuah, or Crystal from the NTWF.
When Kai was a child, she got a strange disease. This left her blind and with a strange tattoo. When she and her brother meet a pack of foxes, one of which who can communicate with them, their quiet life in the countryside is lost forever. They soon encounter lady Elei and her attendant Daian, who has her own dark reasons for wanting to travel with them.
Tropes used in Catalyst (webcomic) include:

- Conflicting Loyalty: Daian gets in this position.
- Cunning Like a Fox: Vul'Re and his pack.

- Ill Girl: Averted. Though sick, Elei does not fit this trope at all.
- Kick the Dog: Elei makes Kai believe she will get her sight back if Kai gives her the gift and then tells her she lied. A crying Kai then points out she would have given it to her anyway.
- The Lost Woods: After several soldiers are killed in the forest around Quail, the villagers will no longer enter, or even wish to talk about it.
