- Complete Monster: The Anti-Monitor.
- Crowning Moment of Awesome: The original super-hero, Superman I, throws the final punch that destroys the Anti-Monitor once and for all, after literally a dozen other world-ending blasts fail to off him.
- And Supergirl's Heroic Sacrifice. Also one of the most famous Dying Moment of Awesome.
- The Spectre's duel with the Anti-Monitor at the dawn of time.
- Barry Allen's final run.
- Esoteric Happy Ending
- Narm: "It's not fair. She shouldn't have died for me. Where is he? The Anti-Monitor. I... I want to kill him for this!" It's the horrible punctuation that really sells it.
- That one panel where the Anti-Monitor appears to be air-guitaring.
- Uncle Sam's speech to the gathered heroes is really hard to take seriously. Of course, that might have been the point, as right afterwards the line "What a cornball!" is said about him.
- Ruined FOREVER: Though this is in retroactive power, people have denounced this series mainly because of what Infinite Crisis had done to the small group of survivors who helped save the day in the original, feeling that it had "tainted" this series. Not to mention the backlash that Final Crisis caused by bringing back Barry Allen which "cheapened his Heroic Sacrifice".
- The Woobie: Pariah.
