Faction Paradox/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

The Universe holds many viewpoints about us. Feel free to decide who we truly are. Feel free to learn about us. Feel free to make your own destiny.

Oh, and of course... feel free to join us.

  • Complete Monster:
    • Lady Lolita seems like a delightfully snide baddie until she EATS the Eleven Day Empire.
    • Antipathy is an Ax Crazy timeship that brings war, despair, torture and decay into the previously peaceful City of the Saved. See High Octane Nightmare Fuel for details.
    • On a more mundane level, Corkle from Erasing Sherlock, aside from being in the employ of Jim Moriarty, enjoys viciously messing with the life of the great detective...because he can.
    • Sutekh. Especially when he orders millions of slaves to remain kneeling while his Mal'akh slaughter and eat them all.
  • Crazy Awesome - Let's get real. This pretty much describes the entire freaking series when it's not High Octane Nightmare Fuel. A subdimensional realm created out of nonexistant time? A massive, galaxy-wide city where every single human to ever live exists somewhere, including fictional characters and visitors from all time and space? The best damn costumes to ever grace a cult? Faction Paradox has it all. Except for sanity, of course.
  • Crowning Moment of Funny - Godfather Morlock's Winston Churchill impression has to be heard to be believed.
  • Magnificent Bastard: Plenty to go around, particularly Godfather Morlock[1] and Demetra Kein from the audio plays, Godfather Avatar [2] from the novel Of the City of The Saved. Really, anyone just possessing a rank in the Faction qualifies for this trope.
  • Memetic Mutation:
  • Nightmare Fuel: Has its own page.
    • The Shifts, living memes who exist in the memetic connections between a written work and its viewers.
  • Paint the Hero Black - "Hello, I'm the Evil Renegade and this is my brainwashed kidnapping victim, Chris!" Doesn't have the same ring to it does it?
  • Tear Jerker - From the audios, the deaths of Finton, who was just a poet who Faction Paradox manipulated into unknowingly becoming a weapon against Sutekh and Eliza/Horus, Justine's only friend and companion.
  1. "You're a ruthless bastard, Morlock! I'd almost like you, if you weren't such a colossal ponce."
  2. "Get the fuck out of my room!" "Ah, yes. The fuck. I shall remove it forthwith."
