Guitar Hero World Tour: Definitive Edition is a community-made expansive modification for the PC version of Guitar Hero World Tour, first released in 2021.

The game takes the engine and base game content of World Tour by Neversoft and expands it even further with community-made characters, songs, instruments and venues, as well as content backported from prior and later Guitar Hero series games.

Tropes used in Guitar Hero World Tour: Definitive Edition include:
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: Lineups with Badass characters like Kratos and CJ who are jamming with a relatively soft-spoken princess like Snow White are not that uncommon given the wide selection of downloadable rocker models.
  • Bohemian Parody: Neversoft spared no time doing the Bohemian Rhapsody performance in Warriors of Rock, complete with over-the-top gestures in the operatic section. When the motion capture data from that song got backported, it did not take long for people to come up with some rather interesting band lineups.
  • Cool Boat: The (yet-to-be released) Titanic venue, particularly the first-class saloon section sequestered from Mr. Robville's Titanic mod for Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven.
  • Game Mod: Done in spades, though it could very well account to its own game considering how it expanded upon World Tour and then some.
  • Intercontinuity Crossover / Massively Multiplayer Crossover: It isn't uncommon for WTDE players to come up with the most bizarre band lineup possible, from anime and cartoons, characters from various other gaming franchises, to even real world celebrities, internet memes and TV series such as the cast of Breaking Bad among others.
  • Joke Character: Plenty of them, mostly based on popular internet memes such as the crew member from Among Us and even a rather crudely-modeled depiction of Jesus Christ by WTDE co-developer Zedek.
  • Rule of Fun: While some mods are more in line with the game's premise e.g. character mods based on musicians such as apl.de.ap and Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas as well as a mod of Michael Jackson in his "Billie Jean" guise, most other modders simply port random characters and venues to their hearts content so as long as it's funny or amusing.
  • Wide Open Sandbox: While the main story mode for World Tour is intact, the rest of the game and all cheat codes are unlocked from the start, allowing the player to shred around at their leisure.
