- The Other Darrin: Both subverted & played straight. Many of the newer Disney characters were voiced by the actual actors from the films (although some, like Timon, played this straight), while of course, characters from older movies had to have replacements (seeing as how pretty much all of those actors are dead). An interesting inversion is that Alice, during her brief speaking cameo in the show, was actually voiced by Kathryn Beaumont, who played her in the original film (and was probably pushing 70 by that point).
- Recycled Script: "Mickey's Airplane Kit" and "Car Washers" are rehashes of the black-and-white shorts "Plane Crazy" and "Mickey's Service Station".
- This Walt Disney Television Animation production was created apparently to commemorate and nearly coincide with Walt Disney's birthday.
