Fridge Brilliance

• The three Protagonist Races mirror the three dominant species of our world's history. The Round Ones were weak, innocuous creatures that took a spherical shape, like how the unassuming trilobite could curl into a ball - and another layer is added when you realize the Round Ones were created alongside shellfish. The dragons were reptiles far larger than you would expect to be practical for a dominant species, akin to dinosaurs. And humans are... well, humans.
