I noticed The Basilisk redirects here while looking for articles to make sure I wasn't potentially proposing something that would later be discovered to be extremely similar to something we already had - but I notice that it seems to primarily refer to the Langford Basilisk (i.e., the "look at it and you die" memetic kill-agent fractal images of science fiction legend). Would it thus be appropriate to create a page dedicated to both the folkloric basilisk that provided its name, as well as the heavily related cockatrice (as in "so heavily related that their creation processes were literally inverses of one another)? Both have been dungeon-crawling fodder for long enough to warrant it, in my honest opinion.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Oh, certainly. Both creatures have been well represented in works for centuries and have both literal and symbolic value for writers.

Yep, already got that in my current draft's info - and the cockatrice description borrows heavily from same.
