If the page says examples shown In-Universe only, then shouldn't something be done with the Fan Works examples, and if so what exactly?

Circling back to this since I never got a response of any kind.

I never saw the TV Tropes version of this page. Did it end up with fanon natter, perhaps? That's the only reason why I could imaging people asking "Please, examples shown in-universe only."
In my opinion (with my mod hat off), fan works still take place in a universe; it's just a slightly different universe than the one where the canon work takes place. So there's still an "in-universe" and "out-of-universe" distinction that can be made.
I think we can leave the Fan Works section on the page.
Well yeah, Fan Works is still fiction, it's just not published fiction. So long as it's not too raunchy or risque, I'm fine with it staying on the page.
That tracks, logically, and by that logic I suppose no one'll object to me removing that line - but I'll wait another 12-24h before acting on that.
Sorry for the delayed response; I was away all weekend with no Net access. (Literally, not even 4G/5G coverage. Don't ever live in very rural New York State.)
I'm agreeing with Rob and Henery here. Fan Work examples are still within their universes. That phrasing was clearly intended to short-circuit the troper tales crowd.
All taken care of, no worries!
