Topic on Talk:I Want to Bear His Children/Playing With

This page completely misses the point of the trope.

The trope is not "a woman says 'Man is hunky, I want him to impregnate me'". It is acknowledged hyperbole used to express how impressed one character is with another, often humorously without regard to either person's biological sex. See the Fred Weasley-Harry Potter example under Fan Works.

I am inclined to flag this page for deletion as it is written with a complete and fundamental misunderstanding of what the trope is about.

Sorry! If you must delete, you can go ahead. It was going to be my last playing with anyway.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

It's a good playing with list, but not for this trope. If we can find the trope that it applies to -- and that would almost definitely be one of the Sex Tropes -- then we can still use it.

But since folks including the original author are in agreement to start the process, I've hung a delete tag on the page.

Coffee Lover (talkcontribs)

Well at least it was a good try.

Coffee Lover (talkcontribs)

Well if it's a good play with list, then save it to your computer and if the right trope shows up, you can add it there.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

But then I would get the credit for that. It's your work.

EDIT: If we can find an existing Sex Trope where this would fit and that doesn't have a Playing With page, we could simply move the page under that trope and you'd get to keep the writer credit.

Coffee Lover (talkcontribs)

Ehh, if it helps, that's enough for me.

Coffee Lover (talkcontribs)

Or you can give me credit in the summary. As long as it's used.

I've stashed a copy in my offline ATT development folder, Rob, so we can nuke it whenever. Grab a local copy for yourself so we have redundancy.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

Got a copy - and as I was about to do so, I realized that an "export" instead of a "save" would keep the credits.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

...And that's something I didn't think of. Nice catch. Replacing my plaintext backup with my own export.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

And since we both have offline exports, I'm nuking the page now.
