Japanese pop culture has its own set of stereotypes for portraying reality. This can be called Anime Style or Anime X, just like the American counterpart is called Hollywood Style or Hollywood X.
Anime Reality is not about anime, just like Hollywood Style isn't about Hollywood: It is about how reality gets misrepresented in the collective realm of Japanese media that includes Anime, Manga, Light Novels, Visual Novels and Video Games, just like Hollywood Style is how reality gets misrepresented in American media. It has nothing to do with Art Style or similar.
